Love her movies. Ms. Sheridan was a beauty. Wish TCM would dedicate a day/month to show her movies. Compared to today's so called actors/beauties Ann wins every time.

My grandmother had newspaper clippings of her, movie photos of her, when I was growing up and spending my summer vacations with my grandmother,I would listen to my grandmother for hours, telling wonderful stories about Ms. Sheridan, all the awhile, glazing at photo album. She was so breathtakingly beautiful, and so glamorous, I couldn't believe that anyone could be so stunning, I wanted to look just like her. My family mourned her passing. Today, all grown up, I'm a red hair(from the bottle) because of her. May she rest in peace.

Ann Sheridan in I Was A Male War Bride & The Man Who Came to Dinner are just delicious! She's one of my favorites.
My grandfather had a bar & restaurant in Budd Lake, NJ, during the 1930s and occasionally he would go to Newark Airport and pick up Hollywood celebrities and bring them back to Budd Lake, which was a popular place to be during that time. Ann Sheridan was a friend of his and always spoken of warmly.

I grew up watching the old movies on the late show around the TV with my siblings and depression era mom and dad in the late 50s and early 60s. I of course knew who Ann Sheridan was,I thought,"She's O K. No big deal". Until the day I saw one of her color films about 30 to 35 years ago. That changed everything for me. What I saw was a lady that could act without you noticing and had the most gorgeous red hair to grab your attention. I would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful redhead. I then started to notice her acting more. She never tried to get over melodramatic in her roles and came off very natural. Since then she's undoubtedly been, hands down, my favorite actress of that era.
